Like many chefs inspired by childhood experiences, Chef Elizabeth Davidson had a mom and aunt who were great at-home cooks. “The rest of us were very adventurous eaters,” she says. She also spent summers on her grandparent’s farm in central California, where dinners came straight from the garden. As a chef, she’s influenced by seasonal ingredients that are grown and produced in her region. “The street food scene in Portland provides ever-changing inspiration for food trends,” says Elizabeth, who always felt that cooking was what she was meant to do. You’ll find her tasty creation in your café this month.
