“Being a chef is the only job I’ve ever had, and I love it,” says Alicia Jenish-Mc Carron. “I never stop learning and growing, and that’s the incredible part of being a chef.” As an only child, she cooked side by side with her mother, who loved Julia Child, had a collection of French cookbooks and was adamant about cooking from scratch. Chef Alicia says her café guests have international and adventurous palates, and she loves studying new cuisines so she can surprise and delight them with her creations.
