With a grandmother from Sicily and grandfather from Greece, Chef Christopher Maravelas learned to cook all types of Mediterranean food. He was working as a civil engineer when he realized he could use those same build-and-create skills as a chef. “An old restaurateur saw my potential to create food with great flavor and presentation,” he says of his journey to becoming a chef.
