At five years old, Chef Joe Lutz lived with his grandparents for a summer, and it set him on a path to a culinary career. “My grandmother pulled up a step ladder and put me to work,” he says. “I started with scrambled eggs and by the end of the summer I was making pierogies and grilling steaks with my grandfather.” As the years rolled on, Joe spent many hours in his mom’s kitchen, realizing that love really does come through in food.
