Chef John Selick is trying to change the world…at least the world of hospital dining. As the chef for the University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center, he brings a passion for fresh, quality ingredients. He is determined to bring refined healthy cooking techniques to the world of healthcare. A 2000 graduate of the Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts, John was part of the team at the award winning Maestro at the Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner, and has also worked for Todd Gray at his Equinox restaurant, where he was inspired to cook with local and seasonal ingredients. These experiences shaped the culinary style that inspires him to this day. John joined Sodexo in 2004 as Executive Chef for University Hospitals, and has since become a Certified Executive Chef by the American Culinary Federation and received a Bachelors Degree from New England Culinary Institute.
