Chef Lynda Boothroyd is the Director of Culinary Sodexo Healthcare systems southeast region. Prior to this new roll, Chef Boothroyd was the Director of Culinary for SodexoMAGIC operations at Walt Disney World, where she oversaw the on-site direction, menu strategy and culinary team at 39 locations, serving 60,000 Walt Disney World cast members in Orlando, Florida. Before joining the team at Walt Disney World, she was the Senior Manager of Culinary and Dining for 32 Continuing Care Retirement Communities in the Southeast for Sodexo Senior Living. Prior to beginning her work with Senior Living in 2008, Chef Boothroyd was the Area Executive Chef for the Corporate Market segment and was responsible for multiple Sodexo locations in the Southeast.
Chef Boothroyd started her career with Sodexo in 1997 in the Greater Boston area where she was Executive Chef at the Museum of Science. She was responsible for Executive catering, retail food court and two on-site restaurants. Lynda also spent time as the Area Executive Chef supporting the Greater Boston area, where she was responsible for insuring the quality and consistency for all the on-site restaurants.
Prior to joining Sodexo, Chef Boothroyd was instrumental in the success of some of Boston’s premier restaurants from 1982 – 1997. She is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University, in Providence, Rhode Island.
Throughout her career at Sodexo, Chef Boothroyd has received numerous awards, including Culinary Achievement Award, 1999; Leadership Award, 2000; Silver Medal Sodexo Culinary Competition 2002; National Client and Business Retention Award, 2006; and Vice President Recognition Award 2012.
