“Country raised. City cured.” That’s how Chef Mathew Plank describes his journey from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to Philadelphia and his evolving culinary style that’s “rustic comfort food with a twist of refined city-slicker finesse.” He fell in love with the atmosphere of the kitchen and the camaraderie of fellow cooks while working in a small restaurant during his teenage years.
