“Being a chef has given me an opportunity to live my life out loud,” says Chef Michael. “I’ve developed my own voice and have a chance to express myself every day with my creative approach to cooking.” Like so many chefs in the industry, Chef Michael cooked alongside his mother and grandmother from a very young age and learned not only how meals come together, but also why cooks make meals enjoyable—to express love and respect. “That lesson follows you all through your career,” he says.
