Andre Thomas Wels – NORWAY Global Chef

Chef Andre Thomas Wels has been in the restaurant business for more than 25 years. Born in Germany and raised in Berlin, Chef Wels moved to Munich after his culinary education. While in Munich, he spent ten years working in four and five star hotels in various positions, such as Commis de cuisine, Demichef de partie and Chef de partie. Chef Wels then took a three-year apprenticeship with the Scandic Hotel and Restaurant Chain in southern Germany, where he discovered his love of Scandinavian cuisine. Eventually, he moved to Norway where he worked for Fjord Hills over Oslo and the five-star Grand Hotel Oslo. Chef Wels has worked for Sodexo since 2010.
