Ashwin S. Iyangar – INDIA Global Chef

Chef Ashwin S. Iyangar hails from the small town of Virar near Mumbai, India’s largest city. Coming from a family of hoteliers, his earliest cooking memories are making dosa with his mother at age 5 and hosting parties as a teen. His hotel management degree led him to culinary opportunities in hotels and restaurants, where he trained alongside two Michelin-starred chefs. Chef Iyangar serves as a Project Manager/Food Platform for Sodexo, where he manages recipe and concept development and deployment. He believes in the ideology of “food without borders” and defines his cooking style as modern, comforting and soul satisfying. He likes merging multiple cuisines and insists on using local ingredients—to the delight of guests who enjoy his creations.
