Chef Michael González Herrera hails from Bogota, Colombia. His great inclination for the arts, such as industrial design, sculpting, and how to create drawings, gave him the skills that helped him develop his passion for cooking.
He decided to study cooking and to start his career as a Chef. His first jobs encouraged him in gratifying ways. Eventually, he learned to recognize Colombian local products and raised awareness of the importance of taking care of them and respecting them. After 3 years of hard work in restaurants in Bogota, he made a trip through Europe where he learned and enjoyed its wide gastronomy, exploring new flavors and textures.
After returning to Colombia, he decided to continue his education and that is when he started his postgraduate course in haute cuisine and gastronomic management.
Chef Herrera started at Sodexo as operational chef in one of the most important universities in Colombia and after one year, became a culinary instructor.
