Chef Günther Altersberger decided to become a chef at age 11 when he cooked a trout he had just caught. He’s translated that early passion into an exciting career as a chef for a variety of businesses, from restaurants to hospitals, as well as the United Nations-affiliated Vienna International School. He’s offered his culinary talents across Austria, from Salzburg to Vienna, and is currently the Chef de Cuisine at the Austrian Automobile, Motorcycle and Touring Club. Chef Altersberger says the best part of his day is seeing guests enter his restaurant with a smile because they know there’s a fresh, delicious lunch awaiting them.
