Rachael Swain – AUSTRALIA Global Chef

Chef Rachel Swain was born and raised a country girl in the west of Victoria, Australia, where everything was homemade and homegrown. At 19, she traveled throughout Australia for 12 months. After her Australian excursion, she traveled abroad, backpacking her way around the world. While in London, she became a chef, learning from some great experts like Jamie Oliver and Genaro Contaldo. Chef Swain joined Sodexo Australia 4 years ago with a role in the Seniors division. This experience gave her the opportunity to put all the experience and knowledge in catering she had learned while abroad. Last year she traveled to Arnhem Land in the remote Northern Territory of Australia to help cook for the ‘Garma Festival’, a 5 day long indigenous festival with 3000 attendees sponsored by Sodexo.
