Chef Roel Houben grew up in a town in the south of the Netherlands. When he was 16 years old, he chose to become a chef. While pursuing his education, Roel worked in small restaurants as a kitchen helper. After several years, Chef Houben became an Executive Chef and worked at different restaurants and hotels. In 2008, he joined Sodexo where he serves as Executive Chef at Zuyderland Sittard hospital. In 2013, he also entered the “Sodexo Netherlands Top Chef” team.
