Stefan Staats – GERMANY Global Chef

With a grandfather and uncle as chefs, it was destiny that Chef Stefan Staats would follow in their footsteps—after first taking a detour into the advertising industry and the German navy! He joined Sodexo Catering in 2005, serving as a sous chef, executive chef and kitchen manager in large automotive and communications companies in Wuppertal and Düsseldorf. He says the best part of his day is working with his great kitchen crew. Chef Staats is regularly involved with recipe development, culinary trends and food photography that’s utilized in Sodexo locations throughout Germany. When he’s cooking, he specializes in fusion food and finds inspiration in cuisines around the world. His latest hobbies are barbecuing and gardening, and he grows most of his own vegetables and fruits.
