“Every day, I try to spoil our college students with good food,” says Yvette Vromen, who serves as a chef at Fontys University of Applied Sciences in Venlo, a city of 100,000 on the Netherlands-German border. She’s inspired to combine different cuisines, from French and Italian to Dutch and Asian, and loves seeing guests enjoy what they are eating. Chef Vromen knew she wanted to be a chef since childhood and has worked in the hospitality industry for the past eight years, serving in cafés, hotels, restaurants and catering. She joined Sodexo last year and can’t imagine her life without cooking!
