“I think a chef is not only a great craftsman, but also an artist who can create something beautiful and original,” says Chef Zygmunt Skrzypiec. After graduating from gastronomy school, he was hired for the world-renowned, four-story Restauracja Wierzynek in Old Town Krakow, which has served monarchs and world leaders since medieval times. Cooking has been Chef Skrzypiec’s passion since childhood when he watched his grandmother and mother in the kitchen. Inspired by Poland’s culinary heritage, he likes to search for forgotten recipes and reimagine them with today’s ingredients. He’s worked in numerous restaurants in the city of Krakow and currently serves as a corporate Sodexo chef.
