There are three major coffee growing regions around the world. Each of these regions has unique geographical characteristics (climate and landscape), which greatly impact the coffees grown there.
Latin America (Mexico, Central and South America)
Typically, coffees from this area are more acidic with subtle tones of spices, cocoa and nuts.
Africa
Many of the world’s most exotic coffees originate from this region. With flavors of citrus, spice, floral and berries, coffees from this geography can be some of the most sought after coffees in the world.
Asia–Pacific
Varied climates and topographies have a large impact on the coffees from this region. Full bodied, earthy, bold, herbal and smooth are common terms to describe these distinctive coffees.
