Our twist on an Italian favorite…angel hair pasta with marinara sauce topped with meatballs, fresh basil and shredded Parmesan cheese on garlic bread

Ingredients:

1 package (8 ounce) angel hair pasta cooked to package directions
4 garlic bread rolls
1 cup spaghetti sauce with tomato bits
12 cooked meatballs, cut in half
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chiffonade

Garlic Bread
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon parsley leaves, minced
1 loaf French bread, 24 inch length, halved lengthwise

Directions:

Garlic Bread: Combine margarine, garlic powder, parsley and paprika. Mix until well blended. Spread over each half of loaf. Place in pan, cover with foil. Baked in preheated 350 degree F oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Cut each half into four equal pieces.
For Service: In a bowl add 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce to angel hair pasta. In a another bowl add 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce to meatballs. Place garlic bread on surface . Place pasta on heel of bread. Place 6 half slices of meatballs on top of pasta. Sprinkle parmesan cheese and basil over meatballs, Close sandwich with crown of bread.
