Grilled Hot Dog Torta

Split hot dog grilled and tucked inside baguette with Mexican crema, refried beans, cheese, avocado and jalapeno peppers.

Ingredients:

4 grilled hot dogs
1/2 cup refried black beans, canned
1/4 cup Mexican crema
4 slices yellow American cheese, cut in half
4 (6 inch) baguettes, split lengthwise leaving hinged
1 1/2 tablespoons mustard
1/4 cup pickled jalapeno peppers, canned, drained, sliced 1/4 inch
1/4 cup white onion, sliced 1/8 inch
1 avocado, peeled, sliced 1/4 inch

Mexican Crema
3/4 teaspoon lime juice
3 tablespoons sour cream
1/4 teaspoon grated lime rind (zest)
1 teaspoon whole milk

Nutritional Information

Directions:

Mexican Crema: Combine all ingredients, Mix until well blended.
For Service: Place 1 slices cheese on hot dog and allow to melt. Spread 2 tablespoons black beans on heel of bread. Place hot dog with melted cheese side up on top of beans. Drizzle 1 teaspoon mustard on each hot dog, spread 1 tablespoon Mexican crema on top of mustard. Place 5 slices pickled jalapeno peppers on top of crema. Place 1 tablespoon onions on top of peppers and 2 slices avocado on top of onions.
