To Prepare Grilled Radicchio: Combine balsamic vinaigrette, lemon juice and thyme and mix until completely blended. Cut radicchio in half and place in a bowl. Toss with vinaigrette to evenly coat. Cover and place in refrigerator for 4 hours to marinate. Drain and discard excess marinade. Grill radicchio on a preheated 350-degree Fahrenheit grill pan or grill until well-marked on both sides. Remove from heat. Allow to cool slightly, and slice into thin strips.
To Prepare Garlic Aioli: Toss peeled garlic with canola oil and kosher salt. Roast in a 300-degree Fahrenheit oven until golden brown and fragrant, about 15 to 25 minutes. NOTE: Pan size and cooking times will vary depending on the amount of garlic that is being roasted. Be careful to not burn garlic. Finely chop roasted garlic. Combine all ingredients. Mix well. Cover, and place in refrigerator until ready to use.
To Prepare Crisp Bacon: Line sheet pan with parchment paper. Arrange bacon in a single layer on parchment paper. Do not overcrowd. Cook in a preheated 350-degree Fahrenheit standard oven for 8 to 12 minutes or until crisp. Remove from pans. Set aside.
To Prepare Not Your Classic BLT: Place 3 ounces sliced turkey on heel of each bun. In order, top with:
-2 slices cheddar cheese
-2 slices crisp bacon
-2 slices tomato
-1 1/2 ounces grilled radicchio
Spread 1 Tablespoon garlic aioli on crown of bun. Place crown of bun on sandwich to close. Enjoy immediately!
